an angry shade of zen: Hail @jenkirkman
Yesterday I misunderstood something said by @lloyddobler89, the genius behind LloydDobler89 and www.fuckyeahjenkirkman.tumblr.com. It was a joke that Mr. Dobler made about my self described physical appearance that I claimed was offensive, when it was, apparently, a joke. Ok, so I was joking and so was he, but for purposes of this post, let’s go along with the idea that I took offense at something that was humorous.
So I apologized to Mr. Dobler for snapping at him and then said I’d do three Hail Kirkman’s as penance for not getting the joke.
And that led me to this, which bubbled into the crevices of my brain overnight.
A Prayer For Those Who Don’t Get A Joke
Hail Kirkman, whom I have disgraced.
Jen is spelled with one “N”.
Blessed art thou among comediennes,
and blessed are those who accept the emptiness of thy womb,
Jen.
Holy Kirkman, Mother of None,
pray for us simpletons,
now and at the hour of the death of humor.
Amen.
That prayer is brilliant. A lot of people don’t get my jokes, the confusion is understandable.
